Parents are using bubble to book babysitters for all kinds of things, with plenty using their new found sense of freedom to finally try the restaurants they’ve been eyeing up for a while. Here are nine we really love and recommend. Perfect for date night.

Polpo

Awesome tapas and a bustling, energetic vibe. They don’t take bookings but it’s worth the wait.

Café Murano

Some of the best food in London in a laid back but romantic atmosphere. Not a cheap meal but it won’t break the bank either. Great for a special occasion.

Palomar

Exciting Mediterranean dishes and a great atmosphere. Do your best to get a seat on the bar….though easier said than done.

Padella

Like pasta? Then you’ll love Padella in Borough Market. A trendy pasta bar, serving up sensational and only the freshest pasta dishes. No reservations but you’d be a fool to let that stop you.

Bao

Taiwanese street food at its best, in slick surroundings great for a date. The name refers to the restaurant’s specialty – “steamed buns”. Get down there (Soho or Fitzrovia) – they’re fantastic.

Wahaca

Good food, good prices and a great buzz. Particularly good for groups of 4-8. A huge menu so there’s something for everyone…as long as they like Mexican.

The Bull and Last

Great pub grub in leafy Highgate. Laid-back but grown up atmosphere. Good for lunch with the kids. Great for dinner without them.

Princi

Plentiful, fresh Italian food and a unique, fun atmosphere and feel. Perfect for a late night dinner after the theatre or a movie.

Clove club

Housed in the old Shoreditch Town Hall, the award winning Clove Club is great for a drink and a bite at its bar, or if you want something more extravagant, it serves up a 5-course tasting menu in the restaurant.
