What is the best Santa's grotto in London for 2026?

For a special treat, Hamleys on Regent Street (from £75 for up to three people) and the Snow Queen trail at the Queen's House in Greenwich (£30 per person) are two of the best options. Santa's Winter Garden at Fulham Palace is the best choice for a longer festive outing, and Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has the best free grotto.

Is there a free Santa's grotto in London?

Yes. Santa's Grotto at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is free, and children get a present from Santa. You can't book it, and you still need a Winter Wonderland entry ticket, though off-peak slots are free. It runs from 10am to 6pm daily from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, except Christmas Day.

How much does it cost to see Santa in London?

Prices for 2026 range from free at Winter Wonderland to £195 per booking at Hamleys. Most local grottos cost £14 to £20 per child, including Alexandra Palace, English Heritage sites and Chiswick House. Immersive experiences such as the Queen's House (£30 per person) and Fujifilm in Covent Garden (£37 per child) cost more.

When should I book a Santa's grotto in London?

Book as soon as you can, ideally in early November. Weekend slots go first, and several December weekends at the Queen's House in Greenwich had sold out by early November 2026. Weekday sessions in late November or early December are easier to get and usually quieter.

Which London grottos are best for toddlers?

Short, calm visits work best for under-3s. Alexandra Palace's grotto takes about five minutes, London Museum Docklands runs quiet sensory sessions at 9.45am and 10am, and Hobbledown Heath has a dedicated Toddler Santa Experience for children under 5. Many grottos let babies in free without a gift.
