Bubble for Good
We believe that through flexible, on-demand childcare, parents are able to thrive across the different aspects of their lives.
We’re proud to support good causes to champion parents for all that they are.
Volunteer sits for NHS staff
When the coronavirus pandemic struck, we knew that with schools, nurseries and other regular childcare facilities closed indefinitely, parents in the NHS would struggle to arrange the alternative childcare they needed to carry out their work.
We launched the volunteer childcare service in the Bubble app, allowing an NHS Parent to have their childcare requests matched with local volunteer sitters. We also waived our usual booking fees, so the end-to-end service was entirely free.
We proud to have facilitated over 14000 hours of free childcare for NHS workers, and grateful to all of the amazing members of our community who enabled this to happen.
Case Study
NHS Surgeon Rebecca worked selflessly and tirelessly on the frontlines, and credits Bubble with enabling her to find childcare during this difficult time.
“My husband works as a barrister so his schedule can be extremely hectic, so childcare responsibilities are challenging. Without any outside support I would not have been able to continue working.
‘We were running out of options, and I needed to find a solution so I could do my job and help save people in the fight against the virus.
‘It was a very scary time, everything blurred into one and I often didn’t know what day it was. I had to mentally prepare for my job in a short space of time as well as arrange childcare for Sebastian that I was comfortable with
“I’ve learnt that in changing times, flexible childcare is a must, and we can’t always rely on the old format. It’s been an extremely stressful time, but having Bubble essentially enabled me to save lives”

Our Partnership
Starting your own business requires many things. Time, resources and investment are the necessary foundations, but that’s usually just the tip of the iceberg. What’s often overlooked is the degree of support that founders need – from friends, family and their wider network. For those who don’t have that kind of support system in place, things can be much more difficult.
Meet an Entrepreneur
Sara* came to the UK in 2015 and lives in Greenwich. She runs a food business and has found cooking a real source of comfort throughout her life – she used to cook with her mother as a child, and says that cooking helps her to remember her family and her home country.
Using Bubble
Here’s what she had to say about Bubble:
“As a female entrepreneur, it was very hard to focus on my business with two kids. I have a 2 year old boy and 3 year old girl. Since I joined Bubble I’ve got a lot more time to spend on my business and even on myself. I don’t have enough words to say thank you for the Bubble app.
Going forwards, Sara has plans of building her business from a pop-up stall to a restaurant, and eventually even having her food stocked in supermarkets – she is determined to follow her dreams and won’t let anything get in her way.
