Ari Last, Co-Founder
After working as a commentator and journalist for UEFA, Ari joined Betfair in 2008 where he spent five years working across corporate communications and commercial development. Most recently, Ari was at the high-growth peer2peer lender MarketInvoice, where he ran their partnerships and sales teams, striking major deals with the likes of Sage and PwC and helping the team become one of the biggest p2p players in the UK, lending over £500m within just a few years of launch.
Adrian Murdock, Co-Founder.
Adrian created Betfair’s first Marketing PR team in 2007, before going on to run their EMEA business for two years. He joined e-commerce marketplace notonthehighstreet.com in 2013 and led the successful launch of a new standalone platform and business in Germany. Prior to going ‘online’, Adrian spent 10 years as a journalist & producer for the BBC.
Investors & Advisors:
Former Managing Director of Betfair, Mark has been an investor, advisor and non-executive director for a number of online businesses such as RateSetter and Probability. He was previously with JP Morgan and the BBC and is currently the Chairman of Archery UK.
Jason is founder and CEO of The Omerta Group, a global Executive Search firm which includes a range of prominent Sovereign Wealth Funds, Investment Banks, Commodity Trading Houses, Family Offices & Private Equity Firms among its clients. Jason is a serial investor in tech start-ups and advises on strategy, people and fund-raising.
A qualified solicitor and accountant, Deane is an experienced non-exec director and chairman of several businesses. He’s a former Director of M&A for Betfair, and was previously CEO of a Family Office.
Carlos formed Shaping Cloud in 2010 after a career in Banking IT. The company has delivered innovative mobile apps and digital services to established brands such as the BBC, RedBull, Harper Collins and Oxford University Press, as well as to tech start-ups like Givvit and CallSquad. He is currently Vice-Chair of the TechUK Public Services Board, which brings together senior leaders from tech companies engaged in digital public services delivery.
